With millions of subscribers, over a 1000 customers and rated THE leader in integrated talent management for social technologies by IDC, at SuccessConnect next week, we’re going to share some really incredible SAP Jam customer stories on transformative HR and Learning from SuccessFactors. Here are some of the big topics:

Knowledge vaporization is becoming a boardroom agenda.  We see common trends across customers in retail, hospitality or other industries that have massive field or decentralized demand or supply chains. As these organizations are facing huge numbers of retiring employees (in one case it’s as high as 51%) and their best brains are about the leave the field and hang up their boots, SAP Jam is the definitive knowledge network that connects the most experienced with the up and comers. Incentivizing the workforce and making it dead simple to institutionalize personal knowledge is a strategic imperative. Conversely, the cost and lost market momentum is incredibly high.

Training happens in an application but learning happens in the flow of everyday work: The biggest unspoken challenge even in the most well-intentioned learning driven organization is that the solution doesn’t exist where the problem or help is needed. For instance, you’re a service rep getting blasted by a customer but as you look for help in your call center application you realize that the know-how and learning content or experts are hanging out in some other system or you don’t even know that they exist. With our customers help, we’ve designed a learning centric collaborative application that integrates expert finding and collaborative problem solving into any environment where your users work. This now makes Learning and Development instantly relevant to the core execution goals of functional areas in your organization.

Metadata on knowledge: Digital technology has given birth to Learning courses, MooCs, expert blogs and hundreds of other sources of incredible information. This is awesome for so many reasons. But it’s hard to ascertain what’s wheat and what’s chaff. Our customers have led us to design an integrated learning facility between SAP Jam and our market leading LMS offering that’s inspired more by the experience of buying a product on Amazon where you have a peer network offering up their opinion on the best choices to make you sharper on the job. As content sources increase, peer-based meta-data makes your content perform significantly better for your employees and streamlines your cost.

successconnect-2015-logoAt SuccessConnect this week, we’re coming with very little theory and even less crystal balling about the value integrated formal and informal concepts. Rather we’re privileged to be joined by some amazing customers such as Grupo Argos, Jo-Ann Stores, Sargent and Lundy and many others who will share their transformative HR and Learning stories.

Oh, and we’ll be sharing some incredibly exciting product news as well. -)

Some of the smartest minds in the industry, whether analysts or customers, will be at the event and its such a treat to spend time with them. On behalf of our team in attendance and those back home, we grateful for this – we gain so much from these interactions.

See you in sin city.
